Community Development Program (Financial Assistance: Grants)

Provides funding to Ohio's non-entitlement counties and cities for housing rehabilitation, economic development and public works improvements that meet federal and state objectives to benefit low- and moderate-income persons and/or eliminate blighted areas. Includes a set-aside of funds, to be distributed on a competitive basis to eligible communities, to complete public facility improvements in targeted areas of distress.

 

Community Housing Improvement Program

Provides grants to eligible communities interested in undertaking housing-related activities, including necessary infrastructure improvements.

 

Homeless Assistance Request for Proposals Program

Provides grants to eligible applicants for homeless prevention, emergency shelter, transitional housing, direct housing and permanent supportive housing that meet the housing needs of homeless and low-income families and individuals.

Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program

Provides eligible nonprofit organizations and units of local government with funds to devise long-term, comprehensive strategies for meeting the housing and supportive service needs for persons with AIDS or HIV-related diseases.

 

Residential Water and Sewage Program

(Technical Assistance)

Dept. of Health

Provides technical assistance and training to local health districts, industry and the public on all aspects of sewage treatment systems, and supports the local health districts on registration of installers and septage haulers.
